Two-time world Muay Thai champion Michael Mananquil (29-4-1, 9 KOs) put forth a spectacular effort, defeating three consecutive opponents in one night to earn the developmental Road To GLORY USA lightweight tournament championship Saturday, May 11th. Mananquil’s performance in the tournament earned him a $20,000 grand prize and a multi-fight contract with GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league that launched the developmental Road To GLORY tournament series in February in order to identify potential future kickboxing champions and superstars.

On the heels of a smash success, double-header mega-event in Saitama on New Year’s Eve, GLORY, the world’s new premiere kickboxing league, descended upon the Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan for its ROAD TO GLORY development fight series for identifying future stars of the sport, that featured an eight-man, single-elimination featherweight (143 pounds/65 kilograms) tournament on Sunday, March 10.
