Once a Cowboy, Always a Cowboy! Shane Roller Responds to Volkmann (Audio Interview)

By Scott Casber

Shane Roller, the former Oklahoma State Cowboy is one bad dude, that’s a fact. If he wasn’t ready for the fight on the original date in Las Vegas he is now. Roller has heard the words of former Minnesota Gopher Jacob Volkmann about their newly rescheduled fight. Originally set on the UFC 151 card new contracts have been signed and the date is now Oct 5th in Minneapolis at the Target Center and on national TV.

The usually good natured Roller was understandably miffed when he read what Volkmann had to say about his Cowboys, their training and his ability to compete.

Volkman’s Thoughts on Shane Roller – “He was a good college wrestler, but his wrestling did not convert over very good to MMA. I think he is going to want to stay standing because he will have nothing on the ground. He went to OK State, where it is well known they do not work hard. I will use my University of Minnesota wrestling background to break him”
