Warrant Lead Singer Jani Lane Found Dead Jani Lane, the former lead singer of the heavy metal band Warrant, has died in Los Angeles. He was 47. Officer Sara Faden said Lane's body was found Thursday in a Woodland Hills area Comfort Inn. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstances of his death. Alcohol and prescription drugs were found in his motel room, sources told the Los Angeles Times.
