Lion Fight 11 September 20th at The Fremont Street Experience


Scott Kent, owner of Lion Fight Promotions, Derek Stevens, owner of the D Las Vegas, Jeff Victor, President of the Fremont Street Experience and Andrew Simon, CEO of AXS TV Fights today announced that “LION FIGHT 11” will take place Friday, September 20, and that this full Muay Thai rules fight will become the first ever live nationally televised sports event at the Fremont Street Experience.

LION FIGHT 11 tickets are on sale now through theD.com and the D Las Vegas box office by calling 702-388-2111. Tickets start at $25 for General Admission (standing room only), $45 for Reserved Seating; $75 for Floor Seating; and $95 for Ringside Seating.

“I’m excited to announce that LION FIGHT 11 is making history and will become the first ever live nationally televised sports event at the Fremont Street Experience,” said Kent. “I’m thankful to everyone at the D Las Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience, and especially Mark Cuban and Andrew Simon at AXS TV for working with me on this fight. This is the biggest step yet in growing our sport in America. I can’t wait for everyone to experience Lion Fight Muay Thai at the Third Street Stage on September 20 and watch the best standup fights in the world.”

“AXS TV is honored to showcase Las Vegas and present Lion Fight as the first live nationally televised sports event at the Fremont Street Experience,” said Simon. “Not only does Lion Fight have the greatest Muay Thai fighters in the world, it also has Scott Kent, an exceptional promoter who effectively put all these pieces into place. LION FIGHT 11 is going to be an iconic event in combat sports history, and AXS TV is looking forward to airing it live.”

LION FIGHT 11 will feature World Muay Thai Council (WMC) Champion “Nampon” in the main event vs. a yet to be announced opponent, and American Muay Thai star Kevin Ross vs. former WBC Muay Thai Japan Champion Tetsuya Yamato in the co-main event.

Lion Fight will hold events free and open to the public the week leading up to LION FIGHT 11 including fighter autograph signings, a public press conference and weigh-in event. Details, fighters and more bouts for LION FIGHT 11 will be announced in coming weeks.

LION FIGHT 11 will take place at the Third Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience Friday, Sept. 20. The event opens at 4:00 p.m. PT; first bout starts at 5:00 p.m. PT. AXS TV will present Lion Fight 11 live nationally starting at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT. AXS TV network partners include Mark Cuban, AEG, Ryan Seacrest Media, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and CBS and is broadcast to over 42 million homes in America.

Lion Fight Promotions and the D Las Vegas today announced that international Muay Thai superstar and Blackzilian Cosmo Alexandre vs. WMC Champion and Rajadamnern Stadium Champion Nampon will headline “LION FIGHT 11,” the first ever live nationally televised sports event at the Fremont Street Experience. LION FIGHT 11 full rules Muay Thai will take place at the Third Street Stage in downtown Las Vegas Friday, September 20and broadcast live on AXS TV starting at 7:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET.

The 31-year old Brazilian fighting superstar Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre is the former World Muay Thai Council (WMC) intercontinental champion, It’s Showtime Champion and WMC/S1 Champion. He fights out of the famed Blackzilians training camp in Boca Raton, Florida and is a three-sport professional athlete, fighting in MMA, boxing and Muay Thai. He stands undefeated in boxing and is riding a five-fight win streak as a professional mixed martial artist. On September 20, Alexandre returns to the Lion Fight ring for this full rules Muay Thai mega-fight against Nampon.

“I love Muay Thai and am honored to headline Lion Fight 11 against Nampon, one of the toughest guys in the sport,” said Alexandre. “This fight will not go to a decision. I’m training hard with my team, the Blackzilians, and expect to knock everyone out with my performance September 20.”
The 23-year old native of Thailand, Nampon, is a two-time WMC Champion (147 lbs. and 135 lbs.) and Rajadamnern Stadium Champion. He is known for his aggression, unorthodox switch stances and ultra-technical approach. He possesses a dangerous left-kick and often controls the fight by setting pace and stalking down his opponents.

“I’m honored to fight Cosmo Alexandre and to headline Lion Fight 11,” said Nampon. “This will be my first time ever fighting for American fight fans. I am going to bring everything I have ever learned in the sport of Muay Thai against Cosmo September 20.”

In Lion Fight 11’s co-main event, American Muay Thai star Kevin Ross will square off against former WBC Muay Thai Japan Champion Tetsuya Yamato.

Lion Fight Promotions and the D Las Vegas today added a blockbuster women’s matchup to the September 20thLION FIGHT 11 event in announcing that two-time MMA world champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino will take on multiple standup world champion Martina Jindrova. This full rules Muay Thai event will be the first-ever live nationally televised sports event at the Fremont Street Experience. LION FIGHT 11 will broadcast live on AXS TV starting at 7:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET.

Fighting out of San Diego, California, Cris Cyborg Justino is one of the top-ranked female mixed martial artists in the world. With a pro MMA record of 12-1-0-1, she is the former Strikeforce Featherweight Champion and current Invicta FC Featherweight Champion. She has fought in numerous Muay Thai competitions in her native Brazil and is considered one of the most dangerous strikers in the world.

“This is a great fight for me at Lion Fight 11, I fought Muay Thai in Brazil and I love competing in this sport,” said Cyborg. “I’m really excited for this fight. I love to fight. I can’t wait to go to Vegas and get in that ring on September 20.”

Kent and Lion Fight matchmaker Christine Toledo worked with former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, Cyborg’s manager, to secure this fight. Ortiz expressed confidence and enthusiasm in her return to the Muay Thai ring.

“We are excited about the baddest woman on the earth fighting Muay Thai at Lion Fight 11 live on AXS TV in Las Vegas,” said Cyborg’s manager Tito Ortiz, former UFC Champion. “Cris is not only the best, but the most exciting fighter to watch and I’m sure September 20 will be full of excitement.”

Fighting out of Brutal Gym in Holland, the 22-year old 5’8” Jindrova has a pro Muay Thai record of 17-5 with three knockouts. Originally, from Kaznejov, Plzensky Kraj, Czech Republic, she is a world champion across four standup fighting organizations. She was a two-time boxing champion in her native Czech Republic. She went undefeated in standup fighting for four years before moving to Holland to train among the world’s best coaches and kickboxers. On September 20 she will fight in the United States against her most accomplished opponent to date.

“I know Cyborg is a huge MMA star and this is a big challenge for me to fight an opponent like her,” said Jindrova. “She is very strong with hard punches, kicks and knees. But this is not an MMA, this is Muay Thai and she will be fighting me against my rules. I’m very proud to be on this historic Lion Fight 11 card and am ready to make a great knockout win for the fans.”

Martina Jindrova Injured; Colomb Steps Up for Lion Fight 11 Women’s Bout vs. Cris “Cyborg”


Lion Fight Promotions and the D Las Vegas today announced that undefeated French Muay Thai Champion Jennifer Colomb is the new opponent to take on Cris “Cyborg” in the Lion Fight 11 women’s mega-match this Friday night, Sept. 20, live from the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. Cyborg’s previous opponent, Martina Jindrova, had to withdraw from the bout due to injury, as announced on AXS TV’s Inside MMA last Friday night.

Lion Fight CEO Scott Kent stated, “Martina Jindrova had to pull out on short notice due to injury, and fortunately we were able to sign Jennifer Colomb and get her to Las Vegas to take on Cyborg. We wish Martina well and hope she recovers quickly. We also thank Team Colomb for working with Lion Fight to give our fans this incredible fight Friday night between two female Muay Thai Champions.”

“I am disappointed that Martina got injured and had to withdraw, but I have trained very hard and am grateful that Jennifer Colomb has stepped up,” said Cris “Cyborg”. “Nothing changes – I am ready and will bring it to Colomb on Friday night.”

30-year old Jennifer Colomb has an incredible record of 10 wins with 10 knockouts and zero losses. The 5’9” French Muay Thai Champion trains with the renowned team Kan-Kra out of Bordeaux, France and is known for her aggression, strength and crushing KOs. Taking this fight with one week’s notice, Lion Fight 11 will mark the first time ever that Colomb has fought in America.
