The light heavyweight tournament at GLORY 9 NYC will be featuring the best of the best strikers in kickboxing this Saturday night Live in New York City. Eight fighters will enter the ring, and only one will remain standing at the end of the night.
The GLORY 9 New York light heavyweight tournament kicks off June 22 and features superstar Tyrone “King of the Ring” Spong (69-6-1 43 KOs), hard-hitting KO artist Brian Collette (19-1, 16 KOs), developmental Road To GLORY USA light heavyweight tournament winner Dustin Jacoby (9-3, 7 KOs), four-time world champion Danyo Ilunga (51-4, 41 KOs), Muay Thai sensation Filip Verlinden (40-9-1, 16 KOs), Aerts-protégé Mourad “The Silent Power” Bouzidi (75-20-2, 34 KOs), world Muay Thai and Karate champion Steve McKinnon (42-5, 29 KOs) and Michael Duut (38-3, 17 KOs).
In the second episode of Rebel Reality, Golden Glory TV gives fans an inside look at the days leading up to Gökhan Saki’s fight in his home country of Turkey at GLORY 6 Istanbul where Saki defeated Daniel Ghita via TKO. Also, Saki donated 5.000 € for the departed legend Ramon “Diamond” Dekkers’ “DIAMOND FOUNDATION” to help destitute children at an orphanage in Thailand. According to film makers – “He wanted to do this without publicity, but we talked together and my opinion is, that all people should know what he does because he is a great man and an awesome example for a lot of young people, sports professionals and overall athletics.”
