Two-time world Muay Thai champion Michael Mananquil (29-4-1, 9 KOs) put forth a spectacular effort, defeating three consecutive opponents in one night to earn the developmental Road To GLORY USA lightweight tournament championship Saturday, May 11th. Mananquil’s performance in the tournament earned him a $20,000 grand prize and a multi-fight contract with GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league that launched the developmental Road To GLORY tournament series in February in order to identify potential future kickboxing champions and superstars.
In the second episode of Rebel Reality, Golden Glory TV gives fans an inside look at the days leading up to Gökhan Saki’s fight in his home country of Turkey at GLORY 6 Istanbul where Saki defeated Daniel Ghita via TKO. Also, Saki donated 5.000 € for the departed legend Ramon “Diamond” Dekkers’ “DIAMOND FOUNDATION” to help destitute children at an orphanage in Thailand. According to film makers – “He wanted to do this without publicity, but we talked together and my opinion is, that all people should know what he does because he is a great man and an awesome example for a lot of young people, sports professionals and overall athletics.”
