UFC 145 kicks off April 21st at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.  Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones takes on former Champion Rashad Evans.  Other fights on the card include heavyweights Brendan Schaub and Ben Rothwell battling, as well as Rory MacDonald and Che Mills battling in a welterweight bout.  Online betting and poker site William Hill Poker has released odds on three of main fights on the cards.  Let’s take a quick look at them.

In the heavyweight bout, Brendan Schaub looks to move up the ranks as he puts up his 9-2 record on the line against veteran Ben Rothwell.  Rothwell comes into the fight with a 25 lb weight advantage on Schaub as well as a 31-8 record.  Rothwell is a more balanced fighter with superior takedown ability while Schaub relies on striking.  The odds makers tend to side with the youth and striking of Schaub, putting him at 2/5 to win against the 19/10 odds for Rothwell.

In a middleweight bout, a 12-1 Rory MacDonald faces the 14-4 Che Mills.  This is Mills second UFC bout after winning in just 40 seconds by TKO against Chris Cope at UFC 138.  MacDonald is fairly well balanced with strengths in takedowns and submissions.  Mills uses a combination of speed and superior striking to take out opponents.  MacDonald is heavily favored in this one at 1/4 against the 3/1 of Mills.  However, Mills striking ability could lead to a massive upset.

For the Main Event, Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones puts his title and his 15-1 record on the line against the 22-1-1 former champion Rashad Evans.  Jones has the height advantage and is a more well rounded fighter than Evans.  Evans however is a takedown expert and looks to ground and pound his way to the title.  Jones is heavily favored to retain his UFC Light Heavyweight title coming with odds at 2/11 against the 4/1 odds of Evans.  Granted, you can never count the former light heavyweight champ out, so this could be one hell of fight.
