Saints Row IV Announced



Confirming wide-spread rumors, Saints Row IV has been announced. In the next open-world installment of Saints Row, Deep Silver Volition continues the story of the Third Street Saints by elevating their status to the highest level – the leaders of the free world. In Saints Row IV, the head honcho of the Saints has been elected to the Presidency of the United States. But the Saints are just getting started. Now the larger-than-life insanity of the Saints series gets a new twist with a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarro-Steelport simulation. Wield gargantuan superpowers and fight to free humanity from alien granddaddy Zinyak’s mental grasp. Escape the simulation that’s trapped the Saints crew, or die trying.






Dungeons & Dragons Arcade Games coming to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network



According to Siliconera, old school Capcom Dungeons & Dragons arcade games Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara are coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, Released in the early 1990s, Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara are side-scrolling hack ‘n slash games with role-playing elements. If this report is true, this would be the first time the two games have seen release since 1999’s Dungeons & Dragons Collection for the Sega Saturn.

TERA: Rising – Over Half a Million New Players Since Free-to-Play Launch



The free-to-play version of the fantasy MMO TERA has launched successfully as over half a million new users have registered for the game since the move to free-to-play, which brings the total number of players registered for TERA: Rising up to over one million. The game’s operator Gameforge opened six new game servers just a few days after the free-to-play launch in order to meet the high demand. Since the introduction of the free-to-play version, TERA players have created around 1.5 million characters with which they can experience adventures in the world of Arborea. The battle-ready Castanics are the most popular race, with the Humans and High Elves nipping at their heels, while the Warrior enjoys the greatest popularity among the classes, followed by the Sorcerer and the Archer. With the move to free-to-play, the world of Arborea was expanded by the Crucible of Flame dungeon and a 3-v-3 arena called the Champions’ Skyring. they have also announced plans for more content downloads in the future.






Despite THQ’s Demise, New Warhammer 40K Game in Development



According Slitherine and GameSpot, a new Warhammer game is already under development despite the event that plagued and dissolved THQ earlier this year. Here is what is being reported “Development on the game is already underway for multiple platforms, though details about its content and features were not divulged. In addition to Slitherine’s new Warhammer game, Total War developer Creative Assembly is working on multiple titles set in the fantasy universe.”

Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Project Coming in April



Capcom and Valve have announced the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project. This crossover project between two of the interactive entertainment industry’s most respected publishers will see characters from Left 4 Dead 2 featured exclusively in the forthcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6, while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. All content will be made available completely free for fans of either game to access and play. Among the characters involved are Coach, Nick, Ellis, Rochelle, the Witch and the Mini Tank (Left 4 Dead 2), and Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman (Resident Evil 6). This new and exclusive content will automatically be downloaded in the background to all owners of the PC version of Resident Evil 6 from April 5.






Battlefield 4 to be Revealed This Month



This week Electronic Arts sent out invitations for a Battlefield 4 unveiling event on March 26th at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC 2013). BF4 Central shared the invite, which says we should learn more about the next installment in the military first-person shooter series beginning at 7:00 pm PDT that day. Last year, DICE confirmed that Battlefield 4 will feature a modern setting, which rules out any sequel to 2142.






Injustice: Gods Among Us – Doomsday Gameplay Trailer








Cyberpunk 2077 will have Multiplayer



According to Eurogamer and CD Projekt Red, the upcoming futuristic RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will. “It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features,” CDPR managing director Adam Badowski told Eurogamer. The article also discusses progress on Cyberpunk 2077 towards its 2015 release, saying that the development team will be bolstered by Witcher developers following next year’s release of The Witcher 3.






Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall DLC launches April 16



Bethesda announced this week that a new Dishonored expansion will launch next month. In Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall take on the role of Daud, the legendary assassin who killed the Empress. This second add-on pack for the award-winning first person action game from Arkane Studios gives you a new perspective on Daud, and access to his weapons, gadgets, allies and supernatural abilities.
