Bethesda Softworks will be releasing Dishonored, a new steampunk first-person shooter, on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC October 9th (North America), 11th (Australia), and 12th (Europe). A new iteration of the well-worn plot where a wronged hitman rushes to exact revenge on those who framed him, Dishonored’s story revolves around the assassin Corvo, and takes place in a stylized universe not totally unlike BioShock’s.  The game, developed by Arkane Studios, has one of the principal minds behind Deus Ex (Harvey Smith) at the helm.

Dead Space 3 Details

Perhaps in response to the flood of nightmares incited by those who played the last two Dead Space titles alone at night, developer Visceral Games is designing Dead Space 3 to be played through cooperatively. According to a source that recently spoke to IGN, Isaac Clarke’s new sidekick will sport a savage scar. Both players in the new campaign will traverse the story together, but there will be marked differences in the gameplay. For instance, if one member of the duo suffers hallucinations at a certain point in the narrative, those experiences don’t necessarily carry over to the other player. The new location for Dead Space 3 is being described as an isolated facility on a planet of ice, and for the first time, human foes are being brought into the game.

Sons of Anarchy coming to Consoles!

Kurt Sutter, the oft-outspoken creator of the hit show Sons of Anarchy, tweeted recently that development of his show as a console game is already in the works. One tweet read, “Yes, we definitely wanna do a real game. Console based. Not some slapcrap browser MP thing. It’ll take awhile, but it’s the right way to go.” No other firm details are available, aside from Sutter’s insistence that the new SoA-based title appeal to female gamers. “Nothing hotter than a girl with a controller in her hands,” he updated.
