Voice Talent Announced for 007 Legends
Daniel Craig, Michael Lonsdale and Richard Kiel will be lending their vocal talents to 007 Legends, the upcoming Bond game. Legends, which was written by Bond veteran Bruce Fierstein, explores the MI6 operative’s past as well as his exploits in Skyfall, the newest addition to the franchise. To that end, Skyfall cast Naomie Harris and Rory Kinnear will also be voicing their characters. Skyfall is due on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.
GTA III on the PSN
After a long wait, 2001’s industry-changing Grand Theft Auto III is finally coming to the PlayStation Network. On Tuesday, July 21st, the classic version of the title arrives for $9.99. Though the North American due date is set, no word has surfaced about the classic open-world title’s international release dates.

Retro/Grade Update & Release Date
Retro/Grade, the innovative rhythm-based shooter from 24 Caret Games, is set for release on the PlayStation Network August 21st. The game supports PlayStation 3 controllers as well as rhythm game guitars to follow its unique narrative. Retro/Grade’s sci-fi themed story follows a single starship’s battle with an enemy armada, and allows the gamer to make retroactive decisions to save the ship from enemy missiles.
Crysis 3 on the Wii U?
CVG’s recent interview with Crytek producer Mike Read revealed that a Wii U version of Crysis 3 might be in the works. The first-person shooter, which takes place in a futuristic New York, would be well suited to the next-generation system’s horsepower. Read said to CVG, “Who knows what the future will bring with it. I can definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that’s about all I can say on that front.”

New Fox Engine to be Unveiled Next Month
Metal Gear Solid developer Hideo Kojima has stated via the official PlayStation Blog that he will be unveiling his new Fox Engine technology August 30th. The exact nature or content of the presentation is still unknown, but Kojima asserted that it would be taking place in Japan. According to his blog entry, “Although the Fox Engine is not finished, we are ready to show what it can do.”
FFV XIII Not Canceled
After wild speculation that led many to believe Final Fantasy Versus XIII had been canceled, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada finally set the record straight. In response to a Kotaku article trying to refute the game’s development process, Wada tweeted, “There’s someone making a false rumor that Versus was cancelled. Haha…Just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended.” Despite the absence of the project from E3 and the Tokyo Game show, it seems the game is still on its way.

Battlefield 3 – Aftermath DLC Details
The new “Aftermath” DLC for Battlefield 3 has received some details, thanks to developer DICE. The chapter will apparently be set in Tehran after it suffers a massive earthquake. Vertical and horizontal urban combat will be central to the DLC, which includes four new maps, new achievements, dog tags and a new game mode. Though the Battlefield 3 add-on lacks an official release date, an EA representative, speaking at this year’s E3, said it would likely arrive in December.
Skyrim is finally receiving a patch that might address some of the more glaring bugs, which have been plaguing gamers since the fantasy RPG’s bow in November 2011. In Bethesda’s blog, the developer promises to make patch 1.7 available soon for the PlayStation 3, and says it will include the 1.6 title update as well as mounted combat. The 1.6 patch initially debuted for the PC and Xbox 360, but the 1.7 update takes it beyond.
