Ask Heather – A PunchDrunkGamer Feature with Heather Shanholtz

Always looking to tip the scales, PunchDrunkGamer has teamed up with Maxim, FHM, Muscle Mag, The Ring, TapouT and American Curves model, Ring Card Girl, Stunt-woman and all-around stunner Heather Shanholtz! Heather will be doing a weekly “Ask Heather” feature for PunchDrunkGamer, taking questions from her fans and the PDG readers.
During her short career, Heather has accomplished every goal she had set for herself but that doesn’t stop her from wanting more. Heather has been featured in over 45 national magazines including Maxim, FHM and Muscle Mag. Heather is also very well know in the MMA world with her being a spokesmodel for Tito Ortiz for his clothing line Punishment Athletics and countless features in all of the MMA related magazines and websites. Heather is also the spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. The company invented special pasties to wear under your clothes when entering body scanners at the airport.
Heather has done countless appearances, car shows and radio interviews. Recently Heather has found her new love, acting. Heather is to appear with feature roles on the shows Graceland (to air this summer on the USA network) and The Glades to air sometime this year. Last year Heather also accomplished one of her other goals and attended International Stunt School where she became a certified stunt woman. She jumped from buildings, was lit on fire, did combat and knife fights and also driving stunts. With receiving countless awards and recognition in the modeling industry she is ready to accomplish her next set of goals. So welcome Heather to PunchDrunkGamer and keep sending in great questions!

1. What MMA organizations have you worked with as ring girl and what shows/events did you work. Did you have a favorite one?
Heather Shanholtz – I’ve only been a ring card girl a few times for local shows. I’d love to be a ring card girl for the UFC but I haven’t came across the opportunity. I am also involved in Tito Ortiz’s line Punishment Athletics as a model and spokesmodel for him.
2. Being a model for so many different magazines you must have traveled the world. What was the coolest place you have been to and why would you recommend it?
Heather Shanholtz – Istanbul was amazing! The people there were welcoming and it was so much fun. The traffic there though is the worst (way worse than even Los Angeles). You are best to stay central to all of the tourist spots and do a lot of walking. The shopping, food and sightseeing was spot on. I even went into a few Mosques while I was there.
3. Who are your favorite fighters and are you friends with any of them. Also, have you dated any big name fighters?
Heather Shanholtz – I’m friends with Hector Lombard, Cole Miller and Alistair Overeem. They are all cool, really sweet guys. I don’t talk about who I’ve dated. I like to keep that really personal. I can say that I am single though 🙂
4. You have a ridiculous body. How many hours a week do you workout? and why haven’t you done any work with Playboy?
Heather Shanholtz – I try to workout everyday. If I don’t have time for a workout I’ll hop on my bike with a backpack and get my errands done so I don’t miss a day. I do double workouts when time allows also. I’ve never done Playboy nor have I posed nude because I don’t know where my life will take me and I don’t want something to come back and haunt me. I still push it to the limit though.
5. You seem like an extremely busy woman, can give us a breakdown of your typical week? Thanks!
Heather Shanholtz – I normally wake up around 10 am – noon when my schedule allows it. I’m not a morning person at all. When I first wake up I do as many emails as I can and flag the ones I can’t get to so I can do them at a later time. I also check my social networking then off for the gym. I usually run all of my errands once a week and have a maintenance day at the spa, nails, tan, etc once a week as well. I’m normally at the airport twice a week for traveling. Then I’m also doing photo shoots through out the week. Normally I go out to dinner every night to catch up with friends. I also love to party so I’m out as much as possible. I’m such a night person that I tend to be the most productive then. I always have a ton on my plate but I love to stay busy!
