Heather has been featured in over 45 national magazines including Maxim, FHM and Muscle Mag. Heather is also very well know in the MMA world with her being a spokesmodel for Tito Ortiz for his clothing line Punishment Athletics and countless features in all of the MMA related magazines and websites. Heather is also the spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. The company invented special pasties to wear under your clothes when entering body scanners at the airport.
Heather has done countless appearances, car shows and radio interviews. Recently Heather has found her new love, acting. Heather is to appear with feature roles on the shows Graceland (to air this summer on the USA network) and The Glades to air sometime this year. Last year Heather also accomplished one of her other goals and attended International Stunt School where she became a certified stunt woman. She jumped from buildings, was lit on fire, did combat and knife fights and also driving stunts. With receiving countless awards and recognition in the modeling industry she is ready to accomplish her next set of goals. So welcome Heather to PunchDrunkGamer and keep sending in great questions!
Here are Your Questions submitted this week, enjoy week three!
1. How did you originally get involved with mixed martial arts and being a ring card girl?
Heather Shanholtz – My agent sent me on a job as an MMA ring card girl and I loved it! I then went on to be featured on the cover of TapouT Magazine, Ultimate MMA with 3 issues and also representing DTFMMA and Punishment Athletics. I love the world of MMA!
2. Is there any update on your appearances on Graceland or The Glades or any other TV/movie appearances?
Heather Shanholtz – I’m on episode 9 of Graceland and I play a stripper. I’m pretty much just dressed in lingerie and jumping in a bouncy house. You’ll have to watch the episode to understand. LOL! It was a loooonnnggg day of filming. They just aired episode 7 and as far as The Glades I’m still waiting to see when it airs, so I’ll keep you updated!
3. You mentioned before that you are friends with Alistair Overeem, how do think his fight next week against Travis Browne will go down?
Heather Shanholtz – I think he’s going to do great! He’s a cool guy. I wanted to go to the fight but broke my ankle over the weekend in Jamaica so am unable to go. He’s been working really hard.
4. As a female I know that some guys can over do the girl crazy mode, have you ever had a stalker?
Heather Shanholtz – I’ve had a few. I once had a lady show up at my house telling me she was my biggest fan. That was a few years back when I lived in Fort Myers. I also had a stalker show up at my condo last year. I live in a highly secured building so he pretty much waited for my friend and I to get back and followed us in without a key fob. When security saw him following us in the elevator he was stopped quick. Other than that I have fans that write almost everyday but I wouldn’t call them stalkers. They don’t mean any harm and are really respectful and sweet.
5. With all of your travels across the globe, what were your three favorite or interesting foods that you have eaten that you couldn’t get here in the US?
Heather Shanholtz – I had shark fin in Hong Kong (before I was aware they were going extinct) and Oxtail from Jamaica is amazing and I loved the food in Turkey. I had Muhammara everyday while I was there which is made from red peppers and walnuts. You can find both of the last foods in the states though. Also, I have never been to Colombia but that is definitely my favorite type of food. I’m obsessed with bistec.
6. Your bio says you are a spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. Do you have a picture of you wearing those? Thanks!
Heather Shanholtz – Yup sure do 🙂 Check out the gallery below where I have also included some photos from my stunt woman training.
