Heather will be doing a weekly “Ask Heather” feature for PunchDrunkGamer, taking questions from her fans and the PDG readers.
During her short career, Heather has accomplished every goal she had set for herself but that doesn’t stop her from wanting more. Heather has been featured in over 45 national magazines including Maxim, FHM and Muscle Mag. Heather is also very well know in the MMA world with her being a spokesmodel for Tito Ortiz for his clothing line Punishment Athletics and countless features in all of the MMA related magazines and websites. Heather is also the spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. The company invented special pasties to wear under your clothes when entering body scanners at the airport.
Heather has done countless appearances, car shows and radio interviews. Recently Heather has found her new love, acting. Heather is to appear with feature roles on the shows Graceland (to air this summer on the USA network) and The Glades to air sometime this year. Last year Heather also accomplished one of her other goals and attended International Stunt School where she became a certified stunt woman. She jumped from buildings, was lit on fire, did combat and knife fights and also driving stunts. With receiving countless awards and recognition in the modeling industry she is ready to accomplish her next set of goals. So welcome Heather to PunchDrunkGamer and keep sending in great questions!
Here are Your Questions submitted this week and enjoy Labor Day Weekend!
1. As a fan of True Blood and the Walking Dead I love Zombies and Vampires, do you have a favorite? Why and which one would you be if you had to pick one?
Heather Shanholtz – Zombies are cool but I think I would have to go on the vampire side because they are more mysterious and like to bite. 😉
2. Do have any predictions for this weeks UFC 164 – Benson Henderson vs Anthony Pettis or Frank Mir vs Josh Barnett or any of the fights?
Heather Shanholtz – I am not that experienced picking fights so here goes… Henderson will retain his championship and Barnett will beat Mir because he is ‘The Warmaster’. As far as the other main card fights go I will take Guida, Vera and Poirier. Also based on a personal recommendation from my friends here at PunchDrunkGamer, I will rooting for Jamie Varner to reign victorious.
3. Do you have any exciting adventures planned for Labor Day weekend?
Heather Shanholtz – I’m spending Labor Day weekend with my family in Cape Coral, Florida. I spend most of my holidays with them. Family is very important to me.
4. Are there any updates you can give us as far as upcoming TV appearances, promotional appearances or where we can see those two TV shows that you have already been on? thanks.
Heather Shanholtz – I was on episode 10 of Graceland. They cut out a lot of parts from the scene but you can see me bouncing in the bouncy house. They had originally told me I would be on episode 9. When it comes to TV they are always making changes. As far as Burn Notice I haven’t heard anything from them as of yet. I actually have a charity event tonight in Fort Myers, FL at Celsius Nightclub that I’m hosting along with Playboy model Rebecca Lynn & photographer Doug Gruber with DG Photo. It’s an event we put together to benefit breast cancer. I’m big into giving back for good causes. I’m also shooting today with my little sister Ashley Shanholtz for Menz Collection Magazine with Doug Gruber. My sister has done one shoot before and than had a baby and is ready to get back into it. We are going to team up as the Shanholtz sisters for various shoots. She’s going more towards the fitness aspect of it. On Monday I have two radio interviews. Next week I have a shoot for the cover of Got Curves Magazine. The following week Rebecca Lynn and I have a signing in Houston at the convention center from September 9-11. After that I will be doing more international shoots. In the states modeling is very saturated in the glamour industry.
5. The media always says that models are high maintenance. Is that true? Also, hot woman usually travel in packs, do you have any of your friends that model that you would recommend I check out?
Heather Shanholtz – We are high maintenance to a point. There are things that we need to keep up with to stay looking our best. It’s a lot of work from hair, nails, tan, skincare regimens, eating healthy and staying in shape. I’m a very easy going girl though and I always roll with the punches and am down for whatever. We normally do hang out in packs but a lot of times I travel alone. I have a travel call list and when it gets full for a certain city I then book my tickets to go so its worth it. Some companies don’t pay for travel but some do it just all depends. Some great models and also good friends of mine are Bobbi Billard, Jessica Jones, Holly Puska, Cynthia Escobar, Tahiti Cora, Anais Zanotti, Ana Braga, Kriss Cunningham and Rali Ivanova.
6. What was your sexiest or most favorite photo shoot?
Heather Shanholtz – Probably my baseball shoot with Justin Price (I included pictures below). He’s amazing to work with and we always come up with different original themes and ideas. That was a fun shoot and those images were published a lot. 🙂
