Ask Heather – A PunchDrunkGamer Feature with Heather Shanholtz – A Week in Heather’s Life
By PDG Staff
Always looking to tip the scales, PunchDrunkGamer has teamed up with Maxim, FHM, Muscle Mag, The Ring, TapouT and American Curves model, Ring Card Girl, Stunt-woman and all-around stunner Heather Shanholtz! Heather will be doing a weekly “Ask Heather” feature for PunchDrunkGamer, taking questions from her fans and the PDG readers.
During her short career, Heather has accomplished every goal she had set for herself but that doesn’t stop her from wanting more. Heather has been featured in over 45 national magazines including Maxim, FHM and Muscle Mag. Heather is also very well know in the MMA world with her being a spokesmodel for Tito Ortiz for his clothing line Punishment Athletics and countless features in all of the MMA related magazines and websites. Heather is also the spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. The company invented special pasties to wear under your clothes when entering body scanners at the airport.
Heather has done countless appearances, car shows and radio interviews. Recently Heather has found her new love, acting. Heather is to appear with feature roles on the shows Graceland (to air this summer on the USA network) and The Glades to air sometime this year. Last year Heather also accomplished one of her other goals and attended International Stunt School where she became a certified stunt woman. She jumped from buildings, was lit on fire, did combat and knife fights and also driving stunts. With receiving countless awards and recognition in the modeling industry she is ready to accomplish her next set of goals. So welcome Heather to PunchDrunkGamer and keep sending in great questions!
Here are some of your questions submitted this week, enjoy!
1. You seem to seductively hide the tattoo on your lower back, what is it and do you have any close-up shots of it? Also, do you have any other tattoos? If so, what of and where are they located?
Heather Shanholtz – I don’t hide my back tattoo they just cover some of them up for photo shoots… I do hide a tattoo on my left hip that I got way too young and it was a guy’s initials. But no one would know it unless I told them. I also have a heart tattoo on the inside of my left index finger, a tattoo on my wrist in roman numerals which I got with my wifey. (Yes I got married to a girl in Jamaica years ago). That’s where the Cookie Monster stuff comes from. It’s a loooong story! Hedo does crazy things! (See the photo below). The one on my back is a flower piece. I also have a tattoo inside my lip that says “We Live” and my friend Dave got one that says “Like This”, so when we stand side by side it says “we live like this”. He’s been a friend of mine since middle school. I have a mustache on my middle finger and so does my girl Eva, so whenever we are in a serious conversation we just put our middle fingers on our upper lip and no more serious convo. Lol! I also have two guns shooting out a broken heart in smoke with the numbers 1 & 3 in the handles. The numbers stand for my b-day and the guns signify my Uncle Bill because he loves to shoot and got me into shooting as well 🙂 The broken heart is self explanatory. But pretty much that’s my favorite tattoo because it reminds me to never let anyone put me down or get me off track. The numbers on the handles remind me that I’m still here and very fortunate.
2. A while back you answered my question about “top 10 sexual positions”. Thank you! What would you say are worst 10 sexual positions?
Heather Shanholtz – There is no such thing as a worst sexual position 😉
3. With the explosion of mixed martial arts and combat sports over the past few years, do you see more opportunities for you in the industry? and what other involvement besides a ring girl and or spokesmodel would you like to have in MMA?
Heather Shanholtz – I do see opportunities. I’d like to get started on some of my own clothing lines maybe and network with my friends on some ideas I have but it’s top secret.
4. I read your birthday was last weekend, what did you do?
Heather Shanholtz – I was on my way to my party which was 3 hours away and right in front of my house was side swiped by a U-Haul. I totaled my car. So instead I spent my party in the ER with my close friends. Kenny Roland a close friend and also an awesome photographer of mine took me to the ER. One of my best friends Eva lives in North Dakota and literally flew in for my party. She heard what had happened and my good friend Dave picked her up and drove 3 hours to be with me. I had a falling out with a friend years ago and he just showed up to make sure I was okay. Long story short… You always realize who your true friends are in a traumatic situation. The next day we went back to Fort Myers and celebrated my party a day late. Nobody was complaining because my b-day theme was lingerie so all the boys were like sweet we get to see the girls in lingerie two nights in a row! Lol! Right now I’m in Argentina continuing my birthday. A bad situation always should and always does turn into something good. No matter what you should always look at the positives. 🙂
5. As a woman who is looking to get back into bikini shape before I go on vacation later this year, what advice for workouts can you give me and do you have an example of a typical workout regime you do? thanks.
Heather Shanholtz – It’s mainly about diet. Stay away from pasta, bread and anything fried. Sugar is the worst though and I have the biggest sugar craving. So if I’m craving something I will eat a protein bar as a snack. They have a brand you can get at the drug store or GNC called Pure Protein with different flavors and only 2 grams of sugar. I also try to do 20 minutes of cardio a day and for your glutes, lunges really do work! I do my lunges in high heels with one weight of 15 lbs in one hand. Once I’m done with my first set I alternate the weight onto the other hand. This throws you off balance which also works out your core. Also, let’s just say if you don’t own a pair of ankle weights you should!
6. What body piercings do you have and where are they located?
Heather Shanholtz – Oh no! Here we go!!! I have eight in my ears combined. I did have two in my tongue but had them removed. I also used to have one in my wrist and belly button but also had those removed. I had them for so long though I could easily put them back in but I prefer not to. I also have three in places you can leave to you imagination. Those are still in place, plus they are my favorites. 😉 Don’t ask for photos because I don’t do nudes!
7. This past weekend Georges St-Pierre fought Johny Hendricks at UFC 167. Did you see the fight and who did you think won it?
Heather Shanholtz – I did see the fight and to call it a war would be doing that fight injustice. That being said I think it was clear that Johny Hendricks won the fight. I know a lot of the scoring doesn’t come down to visible damage but GSP looked like he got hit by a truck and Johny looked like he just got to the arena. I just hope that GSP doesn’t retire so that they can rematch.
8. You seem to have done almost every photo shoot in the industry (besides nude) but have you ever done body paint modeling? If you did how was it and does the paint feel strange. By any chance do you have pics of it?
Heather Shanholtz – I’m body painted a lot! For photo shoots and events. I always get painted by MK Arts. They are amazing! I was painted by him twice back to back in 2 days. The first was for a breast cancer event by Newmil Marine with another model Kriss Cunningham. The next day we did an awesome shoot with myself painted as fire and Kriss Cunningham painted as ice with Go Cover Girls for a new series. It still isn’t released but I can’t wait!
