Ask Heather – A PunchDrunkGamer Feature with Heather Shanholtz – Thanksgiving Edition

Always looking to tip the scales, PunchDrunkGamer has teamed up with Maxim, FHM, Muscle Mag, The Ring, TapouT and American Curves model, Ring Card Girl, Stunt-woman and all-around stunner Heather Shanholtz! Heather will be doing a weekly “Ask Heather” feature for PunchDrunkGamer, taking questions from her fans and the PDG readers.
During her short career, Heather has accomplished every goal she had set for herself but that doesn’t stop her from wanting more. Heather has been featured in over 45 national magazines including Maxim, FHM and Muscle Mag. Heather is also very well know in the MMA world with her being a spokesmodel for Tito Ortiz for his clothing line Punishment Athletics and countless features in all of the MMA related magazines and websites. Heather is also the spokesmodel for a company called Flying Pasties. The company invented special pasties to wear under your clothes when entering body scanners at the airport.
Heather has done countless appearances, car shows and radio interviews. Recently Heather has found her new love, acting. Heather is to appear with feature roles on the shows Graceland (to air this summer on the USA network) and The Glades to air sometime this year. Last year Heather also accomplished one of her other goals and attended International Stunt School where she became a certified stunt woman. She jumped from buildings, was lit on fire, did combat and knife fights and also driving stunts. With receiving countless awards and recognition in the modeling industry she is ready to accomplish her next set of goals. So welcome Heather to PunchDrunkGamer and keep sending in great questions!
Here are some of your questions submitted this week, enjoy!
1. Being that it is Thanksgiving week, what are five things you are thankful for NOT including family and friends?
Heather Shanholtz – My health, my outgoing personality, my career, my intelligence and my great fans 🙂
2. Thanks for answering my question about your tattoos, do you plan on getting more ink work done?
Heather Shanholtz – I don’t plan on it but never say never!!
3. Could you further explain the following “I also have a heart tattoo on the inside of my left index finger, a tattoo on my wrist in roman numerals which I got with my wifey. (Yes I got married to a girl in Jamaica years ago). That’s where the Cookie Monster stuff comes from. It’s a loooong story! Hedo does crazy things!”
Heather Shanholtz – I met one of my best friends Amanda Silver on a shoot in the Bahamas. I was super pissed because they put me in a room with 5 girls and 2 beds with one bathroom so as I’m complaining to the manager Amanda walks up and says secretly to me “They messed up the rooms and I’m by myself come stay with me”. So I accepted her offer and went in and started unpacking. Literally we had matching everything from clothes to bras, swimsuits, makeup, hair products and everything. We became super close instantly. We flew to Jamaica the following week for another shoot and decided to throw a fake wedding. It was hilarious. We had the hotel guests as our guests and had the hotel give us champagne and cake. One year later we got matching tattoos of our wedding date. She’s one of a kind but just like me! We are still close but live on the opposite sides from each other in the US. The Cookie Monster thing is an even longer story, maybe I’ll tell you about it next interview 🙂
4. Are you a Lord of the Rings or The Hunger Games fan?
Heather Shanholtz – Lord of the Rings all the way!
5. Since you are friends with some of the fighters at the Blackzillians, have you heard any news on how Alistair Overeem or Hector Lombard are doing?
Heather Shanholtz – I haven’t but I do know that Hector they have been training hard with Hector having won his fight last month with a vicious knockout and Alistair has a fight coming up soon against frank Mir. I’m so bad with keeping in touch lately. I’m going to hit them up right after this.
6. I am looking for some good wines to pickup for date night, do you have any recommendations?
Heather Shanholtz – Ridge Zinfandel and the 2009 Bordeaux like a Pomerol is amazing!
7. Do you have any updates on your upcoming public appearances, TV shows, movies or magazine photo shoots?
Heather Shanholtz – I am going to be on a TV show with my best friend Justin Price next month, it’s top secret so I’ll announce it at a later time. I also have upcoming features in Bare Essentials Magazine, Ummm Magazine, UGFM and currently I’m on the cover of MMA Uncaged, Glam Jam Magazine and Star Candy Magazine. I also just released a calendar with 86 blvd., my book “Real Talk Real Women” just launched in Amsterdam and I’m also an editor for The Ring Magazine and officially a writer for Glam Jam Magazine. I have a lot going on and my plate is full so I’m not hungry 🙂
