Superkombat World Grand Prix Bucharest Card for May 7th and the Grand Opening of the Superkombat Academy!

Superkombat presents the World Grand Prix Expo on Saturday 7th of May, live from Bucharest. The 12 bout main card is yet again full of big names and big hitters. The first 5 fights will be dedicated to the New Heroes Series live on Fight Box at 19:00 CET. Live on Eurosport at 21:00 CET, will be the World Grand Prix, with the Superkombat world title – Light Heavyweight Plus belt (-86kg) on the line, as the main event.
For the title, Cesar Almeida from Brazil is taking on Moises Baute from Spain, in what is going to be an explosive and powerful match-up. They are both training hard and in great shape to claim the belt.

Amansio Paraschiv who is the New Heroes Middleweight Champion will now be fighting on the main card, live on Eurosport, and he will face the former title challenger Cristian Milea in a super fight. . The New Heroes Series is the feeder category for the SK World Grand Prix. The chance for up and coming fighters to prove themselves on the global stage and the opportunity to fight against the top names in the sport.

The legendary three times K-1 World Champion, Remy Bonjasky, is in Bucharest on 6th May at 18:00 CEST to inaugurate the first Superkombat Academy. Located on Pantelimon Highway, this three storey, 1200 square metre gym will give selected fighters the accessibility to “the best training equipment, top training partners and nutrition recommendation, to take athletes to the next level of their performance” said Superkombat President, Eduard Irimia. “We are also working with partners in Europe and America to clone this concept and ensure Superkombat is nurturing the current and future stars of the sport”
At the launch of the Academy, Bonjasky will also present his latest Signature Series range of products. Special promotions will allow people to purchase a Remy Bonjasky T-shirt and a ticket for the Superkombat World Grand Prix for 50€. He will also have his Signature Series gloves, which will come with a ticket for the event, at a price of 100€.
*Expo
The World Grand Prix Expo has been created to offer the opportunity to the kickboxing world to get a better understanding of the Superkombat strategy and direction for the future. Having been at the forefront of the sport for so many years, the franchise is now taking the next step into becoming the global leader in kickboxing. The expo will have on show all the developments that Superkombat has been working on behind the scenes over the past 6 months. Superkombat.tv, the Superkombat Academy, the signature series products and the Superkombat league. The event which will be held between 10:00 and 20:00 at the Romexpo (Hall C4) and will give athletes, trainers, judges and sponsors the opportunity to see how they can join the Superkombat family and be part of the adventure moving forward. In the evening, Bonjasky, the fighters, together with the promoter Eduard Irimia will be attending the star studded Gumball 3000 party taking place at the Player Club. This exclusive event, the conclusion of the 3000 mile race which started in Dublin, will be the opportunity to mix with the rich and famous who took part in the race. Rap singer Eve and DJ Afrojack will be present and other participants, such as David Hasselhoff, David Coulthard and Jean Alesi might also be present.
