Interim WBC Light Heavyweight Champion David Benavidez will join WBA Light Heavyweight titleholder David Morrell at today’s final press conference inside MGM Grand Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with staredowns and fighter face offs — featuring select main card fighters — to follow shortly thereafter.

Benavidez and Morrell will go head-to-head across 12, three-minute rounds on Sat. night (Feb. 1, 2025) at T-Mobile Arena in “Sin City,” with the action streaming on PPV.com and Prime Video.
Elsewhere on the card, WBC Featherweight Champion Brandon Figueroa puts his strap on the line against hard-hitting veteran Stephen Fulton.
“Honestly, it’s very simple: him just thinking he could beat me made me not like him,” Benavidez told TMZ Sports about the origin of their beef. “I’m going to put a beating on David Morrell. I’m going to let everybody know that you don’t come to my spot and disrespect me because this is exactly what could happen to you.”
