Mike Straka Goes 1 on 1 with Takedown Wrestling & Talks of His New Book “Fighting Words”

Due out July 15th, Mike Straka’s new book “Fighting Words” from Triumph Books will surely open some eyes. Its more than just Q and A piece, It goes deeper than his TV or radio shows have ever gone. Whether your a fan of MMA or just a fan of sports in general “Fighting Words” is a must have for every reader.

The former wrestler from Rutgers is proud to be a native of New Jersey. Proud of his roots and family and he knows that no one can outwork him on any given day. Straka studies MMA in NJ with trainer Alex Tarrago and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. During the course of his TKD training, he trained with Olympic gold medalist Herb Perez and Olympic team captain Kevin Padilla.
Straka is host of Fighting Words with Mike Straka on HDNet which features interviews with MMA athletes. He is also a regular contributor to FIGHT! Magazine. His new MMA book is based on interviews from his television show called “Fighting Words” from Triumph Books and is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2011.
Mike was a vice president and executive producer of FOX News Digital, and served as a commentator on Hollywood and celebrity topics, as well as sports, for the cable net and on FOXNews.com. Straka created and was the executive producer of Strategy Room on FOXNews.com and was the host and executive producer of FOX Fight Game, a mixed martial arts features and news program, as well as several more FOX franchises like the movie review segment “Keeping It Reel with Mike Straka,” and “The Real Deal with Mike Straka.”
Film and stage fans may remember the talented Straka playing the role of Young Minetta in the movie Analyze This and Johnny in the hit play Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding.
