GLORY 101 – GLORY x RISE Last Featherweight Standing – Results & Event Highlight Video

Following the explosive start to the Last Heavyweight Standing Tournament, on Saturday, June 21st, from the Yokohama Buntai in Japan, GLORY x RISE in a co-promotion, kicked off the Last Featherweight Standing tournament.
Over the course of a year, twelve of the best GLORY featherweights will compete opposite twelve of the best RISE featherweights in a series of knockout bouts until one fighter becomes the Last Featherweight Standing.
On the GLORY side of the bracket this past Saturday, was the explosive & unpredictable Ayoub Bourass who came up on the short side of a decision loss to Spanish heavy hitter Aitor ‘Currito’ Ibanez, while French knockout artist Bobo Sacko outpointed ‘The Diamond’ Jan Kaffa.
On the RISE side, Japan’s Hiroki Kasahara was able to walk away with the decision victory over super experienced Thai fighter Lompetch and Japan’s Sumiya Ito was defeated by Moldova’s Petru Morari.
RISE flyweight champion Ryuijin Nasakuwa was impressive as he also won a unanimous decision over Spanish Moroccan Hamada Azmani for the inaugural RISE ISKA world strawweight title in the main event.
Also on the card, fans got to watch two fights from the RISE 61.5 kg Tournament as knockout artists Kan Nakamura and Yuki Kasahara collided with Nakamura winning via KO in extra rounds. In the other tournament bout, Hyuma Hitachi defeated Yuan Pengjie in a Japan vs. China match-up.
