Jake Paul, master of self promotion, is latching on to Super Bowl 59.
The celebrity pugilist has offered to gift Philadelphia Eagles running back, Saquon Barkley, a free Ferrari if the former Giant can win Most Valuable Player (MVP) against Kansas City Chiefs this weekend at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
“This is a message for Saquon Barkley,” Paul said during an Instagram video posted by his sports gaming and media company, Betr. “If you win the Super Bowl MVP — I think you can do it brother, have so much love for you, you’ve been dominating my Betr picks all season — I will give you one of my Ferraris if you win Super Bowl MVP.”
Barkley, 27, is just 30 yards away from surpassing Terrell Davis (2,476) for most rushing yards in a single season (including playoffs).
“I’d like to say he’s exceeded expectations, but he’s always been one of the best players I’ve ever seen whenever I’ve watched him and I have always known about what kind of person he is because it’s not hard to find that out,” Eagles general manager, Howie Roseman, told ESPN. “So I’m really not surprised by any of this, and I don’t say that in an arrogant way, it’s based on who he is, nothing to do with me, because this is who he’s always been. And I’m just glad everyone gets to see that.”
Paul, 28, is expected to announce his return to boxing in the coming weeks.
