Video! 20-Year-Old Prospect Delivers Brutal Body Shot TKO

Joe Lister showed up to his bareknuckle debut in style earlier today (Sat., Feb. 8, 2025) at BLFC Newcastle from inside Walker Activity Dome in Newcastle, United Kingdom, as the 20-year-old prospect delivered a vicious body shot TKO (punches).

Saturday’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) event wasn’t the promotion’s biggest of the year, but it still showcased some of the most promising young prospects from the U.K. One of those was Lister, who has only logged one amateur fight before crossing over to bareknuckle boxing this weekend.

Lister was pitted up against four-fight BKFC veteran John Ferguson, who carried a 3-3 combat record into this weekend. On paper, Ferguson had the better experience, but moments into the first round and fight fans could tell Lister was levels above his elder countryman.

With just under one minute left in the first round, Lister was able to unload a collection of whipping hooks to the body that had Ferguson badly hurt. Ferguson tried to keep moving, but Lister was on him like white on rice. Eventually, Lister connected on two more punches to the stomach and it forced Ferguson to cover up. Ferguson fell to the canvas seconds later and the fight was waved off.
